Storage and Consumption
After collection/delivery all cakes should be stored at room temperature in a dark place in the box provided. Please keep it away from heat and light.
Do not place sugarpasted cakes in the fridge as the humidity of the fridge will soften the sugarpaste and potentially ruin your cake.
Do not place your sugarpasted cake in an airtight container as with no air the sugarpaste will soften.
Once a cake has been covered in sugarpaste, the sugarpaste ‘seals’ the cake to prevent it becoming stale.
Sponge cakes will be fine for up to a week after the event, although with any cake are best eaten within two/three days. Once the cake has been cut it should be stored in an airtight container.
